College football book author Jim Peters has given a book to his college football fans and is looking to them to choose their favorite college football novel of the past year.
The winner will be announced Tuesday night on ESPN.
Peters told ESPN.com that the winner will receive a copy of his book and a $1,000 gift certificate from his publisher.
He said he is hoping to have the book available for preorder by April.
The winners of the best book of college football award will be named at a ceremony at the NCAA Awards Show on May 17.
The NCAA awards show is the most prestigious gathering of college sports fans and awards are presented to the best books and stories from the sport’s biggest and best players.
Pettens best college book, “The Best of College Football,” was published in 2014 and was named a finalist for the National Book Award.
He won the National College Book Award and was a finalists for the Locus Award and the American Book Award in 2015.
Petsworth, the author of “Bubbles” and “The Big Game,” also has a new book coming out in 2019, “My Brother’s Keeper,” a sequel to his 2014 book.
